Masabi JRPV – Masabi

The Masabi JRPV (Justride Platform Validator) forms part of the Masabi ticket validator family and is a revolutionary validation device for fast, economical and robust barcode, smartcard and contactless EMV (cEMV) validation. The JRPV is designed to provide a flexible and future-proof fixed location validation solution capable of supporting a wide range of deployments much more cost-effectively than comparable market offerings. It possesses the necessary on-board storage, processing capability and connectivity options to support any scale of deployment and account-based fares. JRPV had an operating temperature range between -45°C to +50°C / -49°F to +122°F.

JWD was responsible for the design of all custom manufactured parts within the JRPV and the stainless steel tower it is attached to, while preserving the aesthetic and interface of the Masabi JRV. The JRPV is installed onto platforms and external locations and is rated to IP67. It contains a complex temperature management system to withstand a wide range of temperatures.

JWD also oversaw the detailed design of all injection moulded plastic parts, the metal tower, the hardware integration, the temperature management system and the design for manufacture.
